Conventional printing, technically known as offset printing, is the commonly used method for large-quantity, consistent printing. Offset printing is the process in which an inked image is transferred from a plate to a rubber blanket. The transfer is what is technically known as offset.*
Once offset onto the blanket, the image is applied to the printing surface via contact of the blanket to the printing surface. Because of modern technological advancements, the offset process happens at the blink of an eye at speeds of over one million prints per hour.
Printing technology has changed dramatically over the last 20 years and will continue to evolve with technology over the years to come. At Transcript Press, our goal is to get your job done, using the best suited process available. We take variables such as cost, time, desired output and quantity under consideration and help our customers make the proper decisions.
